Importing Affiliates

Do you have a group of affiliates you want to import into LeadDyno? No need to do it one at a time. We’re here to help by importing your affiliates for you.

All you need to do is organize your affiliates into a CSV format spreadsheet following these instructions. Once you organize your affiliates, email them to our customer support team and they’ll import your affiliates for you. If there are other complexities relating to the import or you have additional questions around importing affiliates, our customer support team is always here to help.

Create an Affiliate (Manual)

To add a new affiliate manually,

1. Go to your LeadDyno program Dashboard.

2. Click Create.

3. Select Affiliate from the dropdown menu.

4. To add an Affiliate, fill out the form.

A few notes:

  • An email address is required, but we recommend adding additional fields for tracking purposes.
  • The Referrer Domain field allows you to assign all traffic coming from a given domain to the affiliate. For example, if your affiliate has a blog: http://myfitnessblog.com, you could set this value to myfitnessblog.com and all visitors that came from that site would be assigned to the given affiliate, even if they didn’t click on an affiliate link. This feature uses the “Referrer Header” of the customer's browser. It’s supported by most browsers, but not all.

5. Once completed, click Save Affiliate.

Edit an Affiliate

Once you create an Affiliate, you can edit and view additional affiliate fields from the Affiliate’s profile.

1. Click on any Individual Affiliate in the Affiliates Tab or use the Search feature to search by name, email address, or affiliate code.

2. Then, click Edit.

Additional fields appear to:

  • Unsubscribe Affiliate From All Emails: Check this box if an affiliate wants to unsubscribe from email communications.
  • Update Password: Here you are able to change the password of an affiliate.

Note: These two fields only appear when trying to edit an existing affiliate. They won’t appear when creating a new affiliate.

View an Individual Affiliate

The affiliate manager allows you to view individual affiliates. By viewing an individual affiliate, you can monitor their actions and participation in your program. View current and upcoming commissions, specific visitors, leads, and referred purchases.

To view an Individual Affiliate, you can either:

1. Go to the Affiliates Tab.

2. Click on an individual affiliate’s name or email address.

Or

1. Go to the Affiliates Tab.

2. Search for an affiliate by name, email, or code.

Note: If you archived the affiliate, click Include Archived.

3. Now you can view an Individual Affiliate in the Affiliate Manager.

On an individual’s affiliate profile, you can view:

  • Affiliate Status - Whether the affiliate is Active, Archived, or PendingApproval. Note: You can only see Pending Approval if you enable Affiliates Require Approvalunder Additional Settings in the Website tab.
  • Affiliate Group/Type - The default affiliate group/type is "Affiliates", but you can create your own affiliate groups/types and add each individual affiliate to their corresponding group/type.
  • Joined - This shows the join date when an affiliate joined your program. If you’re using LeadDyno's MLM feature, this is where an affiliate's referrer name shows up.
  • Referral Domain - If you wish to assign all incoming traffic from a specific domain to a specific affiliate.
  • Custom Fields (if you have any) - When collecting more information about your affiliates, custom field data will also show up.
  • Affiliate Link - This is your affiliate's tracking link that they will share with their network to refer purchases in LeadDyno.
  • Affiliate’s Dashboard Link - This link can be used in 2 different ways: you can either access it to preview your affiliate's dashboard, or you can email it to your affiliate as a sign-in link by clicking on the Email an Affiliate button.
  • Affiliate / Discount Code - Your affiliates are automatically assigned an affiliate code that you can track. Please check here to see if the integration you are using supports discount code syncing. The automatically generated affiliate codes can be customized by you or your affiliates.
  • Commission Tab - Most common commission statuses include: Paid, Due, Pending, Canceled. More detailed definitions of each commission status can be found here. Clicking on the Pay Commission button will take you to the Commission section of your account, where you can use one of the available payout options to pay your affiliate(s).
  • Paypal Email - If you've opted to pay your affiliates through PayPal, a PayPal Email field shows up in the affiliate overview screen. The PayPal Email field can either be edited by you or your affiliates.

In case you need to re-share the referral link with your affiliate, you can copy it from the Affiliate’s profile. The referral link tracks clicks, leads, and conversions generated by an affiliate.

To view,

  1. Go to the Affiliates Tab.
  2. Click an Affiliate.
  3. Hover over Affiliate Link.
  4. To copy, click Copy. Your link automatically copies to your clipboard.

Sub IDs are links to specific pages on your website either created by you or by your affiliate. This way, you can create links to other pages on your website, giving more than one affiliate link per affiliate. With Sub IDs, you can track the individual success of an affiliate’s various marketing channels or campaigns.

To add a Sub ID for an affiliate, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Affiliates Tab.
  2. Click an Affiliate.
  3. Scroll down to the Activity section.
  4. Click the Sub ID tab.
  5. Then, click Add Sub ID.
  6. Specify a name for your Sub ID and paste its URL.
  7. To save, click Create Sub ID.

With Notes, you can add more detail about your affiliates such as email address chances or additional commission bonus information.

  1. Go to the Affiliates Tab.
  2. Click an Affiliate.
  3. Scroll down. Notes are on the left side.
