Affiliate Links

LeadDyno tracks visitors, leads, and sales using referral links and, for some integrations, affiliate coupons and codes. This article provides an overview of affiliate links and their associated settings.

Standard affiliate links

Affiliates are provided an affiliate link that looks similar to:

The ?afmc= is the base of the LeadDyno tracking and cannot be removed or edited. The numbers/letters after ?afmc=, which in the example above is 399 , is the tracking code specific to the affiliate. This code can be edited by the merchant or affiliate (if permitted by the merchant). See our guide to affiliate codes for more information. An example of a custom affiliate code is below:

https://www.example.com/ ?afmc=yourcode

Affiliates may take the portion of their link such as  ?afmc=399 and append to the other pages of the website similar to:

How to shorten affiliate links

You have the option to shorten affiliate links using the LeadDyno redirection service. The links will look similar to:

To enable link shortening using LeadDyno redirection service visit Settings > Affiliate Settings and set Shorten Affiliate Links to Yes. 

How to enable UTM parameters

On some platforms such as Shopify, you can enable UTM parameters to enable fine-grained reporting on your e-commerce platform. The links will look something like this:

To enable UTM parameters visit Settings > Affiliate Settings and set UTM Parameters to Yes. 

Allow affiliates to create custom links

If you want to allow affiliates to link directly to other pages than your primary website URL enable the feature SubIDs. This feature also allows affiliates to setup SubIds to track the success of different marketing campaigns. View this guide for using SubIDs as a merchant or affiliate.
